Iranian American artist Taraneh Hemami recreated a site specific installation of layered imagery on mirrored surfaces, utilizing family photographs and narratives to tell the story of her own Iranian American community, linking this story to that of Richmond-specific Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian constituencies. Other work by a range of artists including Ali Dadgar, Said Nuiseeah, Shideh Ataai and Khalail Bendib created a nuanced and timely exhibition.
